HACAOT has joined  with a group of volunteer medical doctors from the US to implement a medical mission program  to assist the people of Haiti and provide them free medical services and medications. The program also has a dual purpose to provide valuable practical medical experience  to US medical staff that have never been exposed to tropical cases. Along with  local Haitian doctors our HACAOT medical staff use this opportunity to exchange medical knowledge and the latest technology while serving the people of Haiti.

HACAOT’s  US medical  staff  has been working in Haiti for the past 10 years and officially with HACAOT for the past four years. Medications are donated by  local US hospitals and pharmaceutical organizations sponsoring our annual medical missions. HACAOT has been conducting medical missions in Haiti since 2007 and we conduct our missions with the most professional staff who know how to prepare and execute a mission with the same efficiency as  any small military deployment.

During our medical missions medical data is collected to study the evolution and impact of our medical services in the communities we are serving.  HACAOT conducts its missions jointly with local health organizations and occasionally  with the Red Cross in Haiti.

We are currently working and negotiating with a US organization for the construction of a multi-service  compound which will include a clinic, a school, a cafeteria, a maintenance support facility ; a radio broadcasting station and a residential building. The compound will be self-sufficient and provide free medical and education services to the people in the surrounding  community. Our radio broadcasting station will broadcast education programs, development programs, civic programs and medical programs to the entire region.

A 2 hectares site has been identified for the construction of the complex in the locality of Dondon in the north of Haiti about 1.5 hours drive  from  Cap Haitien.  Legal documents are being prepared to  initiate the first phase of our project in the next two years. A picture of the site for our future HACAOT complex facility is available for viewing on our website;  we  invite you to take a look  and see how we are making a real impact in Haiti.
